The Trust became a company, NPT Limited. The Company now manages a diverse investment property portfolio consisting of retail, commercial and industrial properties located in Auckland, Wellington, Napier and Christchurch with a net market value of $189.2 million (as at 30 September 2010). |

NPT sold its sole New Plymouth property located in Liardet Street. In the same year NPT’s unit holders also voted to approve the transformation of the trust into a company and the internalisation of the management contract. |

NPT sold the Rialto Centre and the Carlton DFK building, both located in Newmarket, Auckland and the Goddards Centre and adjoining Dumbarton building in Tauranga. |

2008 |
As the Global Financial Crisis impacted the property market and NPT sought to reduce debt while continuing to rebalance the portfolio, CSI Logical House in Wellington and the Gill Street, New Plymouth office building were both sold. |

2007 |
In order to rebalance its portfolio and improve the Weighted Average Lease Term, NPT purchased the Heinz Watties industrial warehouse in Hastings and also sold the Multiplex property in Dunedin. |

St Laurence Limited acquired the Manager of NPT, The National Property Trust Limited. |

A successful takeover of the Newmarket Property Trust secured a further three Auckland properties; the Rialto Heart of Broadway, Carlton DFK Centre in Newmarket and the AA Centre in the Auckland CBD. |

NPT acquired the assets and assumed the liabilities of Southway Properties Limited whose principal assets were two Christchurch retail complexes, Eastgate Shopping Centre and Hornby Mall. |

NPT purchased three further properties bringing the total value of its assets to $65.2 million as at March 2001. At that time two properties were situated in Wellington and the others were all located in the South Island. |

The units were listed on the NZX. At the time of listing, NPT owned five properties and had total assets of $38.1 million. |
